Angel Song is meditative journey that gently reminds us of the profound help and guidance that the angels bring to our lives. International artist Michael Jewula has created striking paintings of these divine beings and paired them with his inspirational writings, to help re-awaken the need to ask the angels for guidance. Angel Song illuminates the senses and engages the reader to enter into this sacred space and transform their own lives by simply asking.
Angels eagerly watch over Ann Fletcher's every move. She just doesn't know it yet. Ann Fletcher has returned to Charleston to see her younger sister Sarah receive her master's degree. But she soon finds herself riding in the back of an ambulance, watching helplessly as Sarah fights for her life. As they race to the hospital, Sarah talks to someone who is not there...and hums a melody Ann has never heard before. That unfamiliar, unearthly beautiful melody keeps finding Ann--first in the hospital chapel, then in her dreams, and finally in Sarah's empty house. Two neighbors have a profound effect on Ann. Ethan McKinney lends her a shoulder to lean on. And as a carpenter, he volunteers to help Ann get the Fletcher family home into shape for selling. His strong presence is a pleasing distraction. Ann's twelve-year-old neighbor, Keith, has Down Syndrome and the guile to believe he can actually see and hear angels. In fact, he insists they are looking out for her in ways she's never imagined. God begins to reveal himself to Ann--both in her newfound friends and through supernatural events. As she discovers the very real presence of angels around her, will she finally open her heart to receive God's healing love?
Many of us seek our own destiny and end up alone. For others, life is fast paced, carefree, and has no limits. Whatever road we choose, we have lasting memories. Some good and some bad. This book is my account of life through poetry. May you ultimately see God's love, grace, and beauty. May you see a hope you haven't seen before. My prayer is that you begin to see that no matter how hard life gets, God is always with you. And His love is unfailing and constant.
Down on her luck, college-educated art teacher Quinn Sanders is a single mom who's returned to Landers Hollow to raise her five-year-old daughter, Linsey. While working at the local diner, Quinn is befriended by Jason Graves. She has no idea Jason's the youth director of Landers Hollow Community Church until he asks her to lend a hand with the children's Christmas pageant. Jason is dealing with issues of his own—a painful divorce following a doctor's confirmation that he'll never be able to father a child. Jason longs for a family of his own, but, rejected and disheartened, fears it may never come to pass. Jason and Quinn are both searching for a Christmas miracle. What they find is sweeter than an angel's song.

Although medieval English music has been relatively neglected in comparison with repertoire from France and Italy, there are few classical musicians today who have not listened to the thirteenth-century song ‘Sumer is icumen in’, or read of the achievements and fame of fifteenth-century composer John Dunstaple. Similarly, the identification of a distinctively English musical style (sometimes understood as the contenance angloise) has been made on numerous occasions by writers exploring the extent to which English ideas influenced polyphonic composition abroad. Angel song: Medieval English music in history examines the ways in which the standard narratives of English musical history have been crafted, from the Middle Ages to the present. Colton challenges the way in which the concept of a canon of English music has been built around a handful of pieces, composers and practices, each of which offers opportunities for a reappraisal of English musical and devotional cultures between 1250 and 1460.

The day Amy Winehouse passed away, I wrote a blog post in which I simply tried to let Amy tell her story, in her own words, through the many recorded interviews she left behind, primarily on YouTube. I found her enthusiastic, articulate, and an absolute pleasure to watch and listen to as she talked about her music, her life, her love(s), and London.Evidently, I was one of the few people who allowed Amy to tell her own story, in her own words.Over the past year, that blog post has had over 300 thousand site visits. It became abundantly clear to me, gradually, that Amy was allowing me a great privilege: to study her words as closely as she had studied her musical influences, and then, to make the realization that there are people who need help: for their addictions, but can't get it, due to financial reasons.Accordingly, all of the proceeds for this book will go to the Amy Winehouse Foundation, to be used to help young people in the UK get high quality rehabilitation treatment, which ultimately makes them productive members of society, contributors, rather than a drain on society. We all know that addiction sends people to emergency rooms, causes crime, destroys families, and results in huge economic losses in terms of productivity. Yet the most painful fact of all is that this is easily preventable. We have the knowledge and the technology to do better. Better alcohol and drug abuse education is needed for children at increasingly younger ages. Affordable rehab and long term, after-care programs are needed. Again, for me, it is a privilege and an honor to be able to contribute to the important work of the Amy Winehouse Foundation, in this small way. Thank you kindly, Amy Winehouse, my guardian angel. Rest In Peace, Sweet Angel...
